YSCC Students Visited Andranik Kochar House-Museum of Photography
YSCC ''Photography'' department
students of the third year visited Andranik Kochar House-Museum of Photography.
''The museum was small but very
warm and inspiring. Andranik Kochar's son Vahan Kochar and his grandson little
Vahan met us. Vahan Kochar spoke of a book under the title ''Armenian
Photographers'' which was started by his father and finished by him. He
considered it his duty to finish the book. Finishing it he has started a new
project – he collects information and copyright photographs from Armenian
photographers from all over the world. The answer to the question wether the
book will be published or not was negative, because the publishing is related
to great sums of money and besides the book is for professionals only and will
not become popular among readers. He wants to present it in the online networks.
The museum has become a part of their house. They celebrated there A. Kochar's
100th anniversary to which the opening of the museum was dedicated. Little
Vahan added that his grandfather's 71st anniversary was celebrated there, too.
Mr. Kochar even joked, ''I'm going to accommodate my family members in the
basements and make the museum even larger, there is much to exhibit.''
He was very happy and exhited
about our visit. We listened to many interesting stories, both funny and
sad.'', tell the students.
